A beautiful SS officer’s snuff box. A desk piece, as it has small balls for feet on the bottom. Inside is wooden lined. Has fantastic period engraved SS eagle and Meine Ehre Heisst Treue! on the lid. The underside of the lid is hallmarked. Nice heavy little box. I’m not sure if it is solid silver, due to the lack of silver content hallmark, or if it is a heavy silver plate. Either way, it is a choice piece. Measures approx 3 3/8″ x 1 5/8″ x 7/8″ VERY FINE + condition
