Presentation plaque to an SS officer of the Leibstandarte SS.  Marble plaque has beautiful patterning. Eagle at the top center is the same as used on the SS standarte bearer’s gorget. Lower silver metal plaque is affixed by 4 rivets at each corner. Reads:  Das Offizier Korps der Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler am Geburtstag des Fuhrers 20.4.39 {The officer corps of the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler on the Fuhrer’s birthday 20.4.39}  The plaque measures approx 10″ x 8″   The reverse is covered with black wool material.  Unfortunately the lower right corner has been broken and glued.  This fantastic LAH officer presentation plaque is still a VERY GOOD+  or FINE- –  condition.
