SS medal presented to R. Schwartzkopff od SS Motorstandarte 24,  on the occasion of the 1937 Julfest from Heinrich Himmler. Medal is 1 5/16″ across. Front has a Greek or ancient motif man holding a large victory wreath. Hand engraved of the highest quality to the front: SS-MOTORSTANDARTE 24. The reverse reads: SS STANDARTENFUHRER R SCHWARTZKOPFF ZUM JULFEST 1937MIT DEN BESTEN WUNSCHEN H. HIMMLER. The black ribbon is still present, but pin has been removed and has fraying. A seldom seen Julfest presentation piece from Himmler. Overall condition is Very Fine-
