Product Description

A fantastic Waffen SS officer visor hat. Hat has the nice high peak to the front. Field grey wool body with black velvet band. White piping. Silver chin cord and silver pebbled buttons to each side. SS skull and eagle insignia to the front.  Beige colored silk lining with large celluloid diamond. Leather sweat band had nice decorative design to the vent holes at the front. Still has the cork material in the front behind the sweat band. Shows age and wear overall, with sweat staining to the silk lining. The inner leather sweat band is a bit stiff, but not brittle.  No moth damage to the outer wool.  FINE condition.
