A very nice enlisted SS dagger. The ebony wood grip has some dings on both sides, but no chips missing. Plated cross guards have some minor dings and scratches, but no major plating loss. The blade has some runner marks, but still has a lot of nice cross graining. RZM and SS marked blade. Has the transitional 3 piece hanger, which does show heavy wear. You can still make out the SS and RZM marks on the reverse of the hanger. The scabbard is nice. The screws look unturned, and the ball is not beat flat on the bottom.  It does have a door rease on one side. The scabbard paint looks to have been cleaned at one time, and has some scratches in it. It is possible that it is an old repaint. I have looked at in in detail, and I am leaning to “it has been cleaned” It just doesn’t look like a repaint to me. However, it is possible.  SS daggers are getting hard to find in decent condition anymore. This one is nice.  Overall FINE- condition.
