A very nice Nazi German Hunting Association hunting dagger. Dagger had stag grip with the DJ deer skull emblem afixed. Leather scabbard with brass throat and tip. Blade has engraving to both sided and the spine. One side reads: Fur Verdienste um das Deutsche Maidwerk  { for service to the German art of hunting} and the other side has: Der Reichsjagermeister 3 Nov 1937, and Goring signature. The only flaw in the blade is the reverse side at the area near the throat is some minor pitting and finish loss from laying in the scabbard all these years. Other wise the blade is very nice. The real stag grip is nice. Lovely age toning to the brass fittings. Leather on the scabbard is nice. Dagger is approx 20″ overall in the scabbard. The dagger is in overall FINE condition.
