Luftwaffe paratrooper badge. Badge is made by F.W. Assmann & Sohn with the distinctive Assmann style eagle.  The eagle retails almost all of it’s gilt finish. Wreath has nice age patina with traces of the original darkened finish in the recessed areas. Reverse of eagle has the A for Assmann & Sohn maker. Overall a very fine example in Very Fine++ condition.
