SS letter opener by Eickhorn. Handle has the trademark Eickhorn squirrel on the handle with oakleaves and crossed swords. The cross guard has the SS runes on one side, and the swastika on the other. Blade has the inscription (on both sides) ORIGINAL EICKHORN BLANKE WAFFEN. Overall very fine + condition with only some age darkening near the squirrel on one side of handle. A very rare piece and probably given out by Eickhorn to high ranking SS officers as a sample or gift.   8 3/16″ overall length.
